Drug trafficker captured in Hesekê

The Internal Security Forces announced on its official website that a drug trafficker was captured in an operation in Hesekê city.
The statement said: “Relevant teams started surveillance activities after receiving informatation that drugs were being transferred from al-Bukamal to Deir ez-Zor and then to Hesekê city. In an operation carried out on Monday, the trafficker who tried to smuggle drugs into Hesekê city was caught and the drugs on him were confiscated.”
The Anti-Drug Forces stated that 7,677 Captagon pills and cash were seized from the captured trafficker.
The Anti-Drug Forces said the trafficker confessed that he had been trafficking drugs and smuggling them into the region. The drug trafficker will be referred to the relevant court together with the seized substances to complete the necessary legal measures.
Stating that their activities against drug traffickers and their distribution will continue, the Anti-Drug Forces called on citizens to call them in a suspicious situation.
