Dozens of mercenaries killed or injured in legitimate response operations by the SDF

As the Turkish army and allied mercenaries continue their attacks in North-East Syria, SDF forces are conducting operations against occupation forces.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue their legitimate response operations against the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on multiple fronts.

The SDF Press Center released a statement announcing the details of their latest operations and attacks by the Turkish army and allied mercenaries:

“On the Deir Hafer front, one mercenary was eliminated yesterday. Our Martyr Haroun Units targeted a mercenary personnel carrier vehicle, resulting in its complete destruction. The exact number of casualties remains unknown.

Additionally, our fighters repelled an attack by mercenaries on one of our positions in the northern countryside of the Tishreen (Tishrin) Dam. The clashes resulted in the elimination of three mercenaries and injuries to five others. Turkish occupation UCAVs continued surveillance over the area, coinciding with intensive heavy artillery shelling around the dam, which caused damage to civilian property.

In a precise and targeted operation, our forces struck the Turkish occupation base on Qereqozax Hill, south of Kobani, resulting in massive explosions that lasted approximately four hours. Simultaneously, our Martyr Haroun Units conducted an operation targeting a gathering point of Turkish occupation on the same hill, inflicting confirmed casualties. Additionally, our forces destroyed a tent where mercenaries were stationed.

As part of the ongoing legitimate response to Turkish occupation attacks, the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) conducted a heroic operation against the Turkish occupation base on Qereqozax Hill, resulting in the destruction of a military post, the elimination of ten mercenaries, and injuries to 14 others, including three Turkish occupation soldiers.

Turkish occupation warplanes also carried out an airstrike on the village of Al-Tineh, causing material damage to civilian property and homes. Concurrently, indiscriminate artillery shelling, rocket attacks, tank fire, and mortar strikes targeted several villages, including Al-Tineh, Ja’ada, Bir Hisso, Dekan, Ghasaq, Melha, Qereqozax, and Saifi Hill, south of Kobani. These attacks resulted in material damage.

At 8:00 a.m. yesterday, Turkish warplanes launched two airstrikes on the town of Shekhler (Al-Shuyoukh), causing further material damage to civilian property. Later, at 4:40 p.m., Turkish occupation forces fired missiles at the village of Turman from their base in Al-Hawshariya, damaging homes and civilian properties. Turkish UCAVs also heavily patrolled the area’s airspace.

The total losses for the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries yesterday amounted to 14 mercenaries eliminated and 19 others wounded, including three Turkish soldiers. Additionally, one personnel carrier vehicle was destroyed.”
