KDP President Massoud Barzani sent a message to the Rojava Kurdish Unity and Common Stance Conference in Qamishlo. The message, read by his representative, Dr. Hemîd Derbendî, emphasized that the conference was an important step towards unity among the Kurds in Syria. Barzani expressed his hope that the conference would meet the expectations of the Kurdish people.
The message stated: “We support peaceful and diplomatic solutions. We hope that the Kurdish people will continue their struggle for their rights and that these rights will be guaranteed within a constitutional framework. We hope that the Kurdish people will achieve all their legitimate rights.”
The message also noted that the conference would open the door to the unification of Kurdish and Kurdistan forces and the representation of the Syrian people in a new Syria, which would have positive effects on neighboring countries as well.
