Ain Issa under ongoing attack

Attacks by Turkish jihadist occupation forces on the northern Syrian town of Ain Issa continue with unabated ferocity.

The attacks by the Turkish army and jihadist auxiliaries on the town of Ain Issa in northern Syria continue with unabated ferocity. Artillery also hit civilian settlement areas on Monday night and Sunday evening.

According to local reports, occupation forces took continuous fire for several hours at the villages of Mişerfa (Mushairefah) and Cehbel (Jabal), two kilometers east of the city center, the M4 international road, and grain silos. Information on human casualties is not available.

Near the silos is one of the Russian observation posts recently established as part of the agreement reached between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Damascus regime and Russia to monitor Turkish aggression and violations of the ceasefire agreement agreed in the fall of 2019. There was apparently no response from Russian forces.
