7 drug traffickers arrested in Deir ez-Zor and Manbij

The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria arrested 7 drug users and traffickers in the cantons of Deir ez-Zor and Manbij.

The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria arrested 5 drug traffickers and users during an operation in Deir ez-Zor on 13 October. They seized 27.5 grams of crystal meth, cannabis, equipment, $400, documents and ID cards, and 5 phones.

On 18 October, Anti-Drug Forces captured 2 drug traffickers in Manbij Canton with 4,000 drug pills, a Kalashnikov pistol and 2 magazines hidden in a motorbike.

Stressing their commitment to their duty to protect society from drugs, the Anti-Drug Forces noted that the people of the region should inform them about any suspicious activity related to drug use, sale and trade.
