Yazidi Society released Congress final document

The Congress was held in the German city of Cologne.

Syrian Yazidi Society has released the final declaration of its 3rd congress.

The congress was held in the German city of Cologne on 21 October with the slogan "From the freedom of Afrin to a democratic and decentralized Syria". The congress was attended by representatives of Assyrian and Alevi associations, political parties and representatives of the Democratic Autonomy Executive, as well as members of the KNK.

The final document emphasized that Syria has been going through a very heavy period and that Yazidi were threatened with a genocide if the necessary measures to prevent it were not taken.

Underlining that the Yazidis should not be exposed to the same massacres they have been subjected to, the document said what was needed was organization and a working plan.
The congress also included the decision to open associations and branches in the areas where the Yazidis live.

The declaration stated that the primary objective is to liberate Afrin from the occupation of the Turkish state, and at the same time called on the international community to take action against the occupation.

The declaration also emphasized that all Yazidis should return to their country and their ancestors' land.
