The action promoted by Kurdish people living in Stockholm on Friday demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan enters its third day.

Today is the third day of the action promoted by Kurdish people living in Stockholm on Friday demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

On Saturday, a group of Kurdish people gathered in Mynttorget Square in front of the parliament building and played Kurdish folk songs.

Pictures of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme, who were murdered in 1986, and of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan decorated the tent where activists met people explaining the situation of total isolation in which the Kurdish leader is held.

Activists also held a sit-in. In a written statement, the Swedish Democratic Kurdish Community Center, pointed out that Abdullah Öcalan, who played a decisive role in the democratic and peaceful solution of the Kurdish issue, has been held in severe isolation since 1999.

The statement added that "Abdullah Öcalan must be released in order for peace talks and negotiations to begin again."

The Swedish Democratic Kurdish Community Center demanded the release of Abdullah Öcalan and all political prisoners.
