Three Italian organisations join freedom for Öcalan campaign

Antonio Gramsci People' School, Il Bene Comune Magazine and COBAS Teachers' Union-Sardinia joined the campaign demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Three new Italian organisations joined the campaign demanding freedom for Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Ocalan. The campaign, called "The time has come: freedom for Abdullah Ocalan, for a just peace in Turkey" includes sending a letter to UN Secretary-General.

Antonio Gramsci School in Sardinia

The Antonio Gramsci school on the island of Sardinia (where Gramsci was born) announced that it has joined the campaign launched on 11 January by the South African South African Kurdish Working Group (KHRAG) and the South African Confederation of Trade Unions (COSATU).

Sardinians have long been organising solidarity work for the Kurdish people and the historical and philosophical works of the Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Gramsci People’ School sent a letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations.

Il Bene Comune magazine

The monthly cultural magazine Il Bene Comune Molise, also joined the campaign. The magazine, which has been publishing national, cultural and art-related news for more than 20 years, also have an international section.

COBAS Teachers’ union

COBAS teachers' union, in Sardinia also joined the campaign and sent a letter to the UN Secretary General.
