Lawyer for Nizamettin Toguc (president of KonKurd) said Venice Court has rejected the extradition request for his client. The motivation of the Court has not yet been published but lawyer Arturo Salerni said Cort has ruled in favour of his client rejecting the extradition request by Turkey.

Toguc had been arrested last July near Padova. He had been attending some meetings with the Kurdish community in Italy and had gone to Padova to have a short break with his wife. The Court first ruled that he could walk out of prison but had to wait for the decision on the extradition in Padova.
