The Minimum Wage Determination Commission held its last meeting today to determine the amount that will be granted in 2021. Accordingly, the new gross minimum wage, before deductions such as social security premiums and income taxes will be 3,577.50 Turkish lira (some 477 USD). This means a net sum of 2,825.90 Turkish lira.

Türk-Iş reacted to the decision on the minimum wage, saying: "The determined minimum wage is insufficient, it is far from meeting the expectations of workers."
