Twelve people sent to prison in Batman
Twelve of the 24 people who were taken into custody under torture during house raids in Batman on 16 November have been sent to prison.

The procedure of taking statements to a total of 24 people, 6 of them children, who were taken into custody under torture during house raids in Batman (Êlih) on 16 November have been completed.
After giving their statements at the prosecutor's office, 12 of the 24 people who were referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest were sent to prison, while 12 people, 6 of them children, were released on probation.
The arrests were ordered with the accusation of "resisting to prevent the performance of duty".
The names of those arrested are as follows: Ömer Altınışık, Hüseyin Turan, Diyar Alkanat, Muhammed Nurullah, Muhammed Avcıl, Barış Çal, Yakup Yunultaş, Yasin Taşan, Yusuf Yavuz, Davut Yalvaç, Fırat Çeken, Numan Baykal.
