Turkish Parliament approves motion for cross-border operations

The motion authorizing the AKP/MHP regime to attack Rojava and Aouth Kurdistan has been approved by the Parliament of Turkey.

The Turkish Presidency submitted a motion to Turkish parliament to extend the state’s authority to launch cross-border military operations in northern Iraq and Syria for one more year.

The motion which authorizes the Presidency for an attack against South Kurdistan, Rojava, North and East Syria was submitted to the Speaker’s Office on October 4 and has been debated in the General Assembly on Tuesday.

The Parliament has approved an extension of the mandate of the Turkish Armed Forces to conduct military operations in Iraq and Syria for another year.

While AKP, MHP, CHP and İYİ Party voted in favor, only HDP voted against the motion.
