Turkish state’s attacks against Makhmur and Shengal were protested in Gothenburg and Helsingborg, Sweden.

Kurds in Borlänge and Gävle also visited the municipality and media institutions to inform them about the isolation and the attacks against Southern Kurdistan.

GOTHENBURG

Kurds gathered in the town’s central square and protested the Turkish state attacks against Makhur and Shengal.

The protesters held banners that read “Solidarity with Makhmur and Shengal” and “Kurdish people are not alone” and pointed out that the attacks against Southern Kurdistan and Rojava are not separate from the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan in speeches given in the protest.

The protesters called on the Kurdish people and allies to raise the struggle against Turkish state isolation and massacres, and chanted “Murderer fascist Erdogan,” “Turkish army out of Kurdistan” and other slogans condemning the Turkish state.

The protesters called on Sweden and the European Union to break their silence and take a stand against the Turkish state violations of international treaties.

HELSINGBORG

In the demonstration held in Helsingborg, Kurds held banners that read “Stop Turkish state invasion of Kurdistan”, “Long live self government” and “Freedom for Öcalan” as well as portraits of Kurdish People’s Leader Öcalan.

The protesters chanted slogans condemning the Turkish state and called on Sweden and the European Union to take action against Turkish state atrocities.

GÄVLE

Gävle Democratic Kurdish Society Center administrators visited two local newspapers, Arbetarbladet and Gefledagblad, to inform the journalists of the Turkish state attacks against Makhmur and Shengal.

The administrators pointed out that Erdogan and the Turkish state increase the isolation imposed upon Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan on one hand and increase military attacks on the other, handing over a file on the matter to the editors.

The newspaper administrators said they will cover the issue.

Kurds protested the Turkish state attacks in a demonstration held in the Borlänge Train Station, and visited the Mayor yesterday to inform him about the Turkish state attacks against Makhmur and Shengal.
