Turkish attack on Maxmur condemned in Adygea

The Kurds living in Adygea condemned the attacks of the Turkish state against the Murmur and Media Defense Areas.

The Adygea Kurdish Culture Association Assembly, in the Autonomous Republic of Adygea (Russian Federation), condemned the attacks carried out by the Turkish state against Martyr Rüstem Maxmur Refugee Camp and Medya Defense Areas in a press release.

Speaking in front of the Adygea Kurdish Cultural Center, Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) Russian member Feyzo Hussein pointed out that the Turkish state consciously targeted civilians.

Hussein said: “The AKP dictatorship is spreading Kurdish hostility to a wider geography. They have attacked Maxmur refugee camp attack which is under UN protection. Unfortunately the UN remained silence and this is a matter of grave concern for us. We call on all states that have signed the UN convention to be sensitive to these attacks carried out by the fascist Turkish state.”

Husseyin added that the attacks of the Turkish state on Medya Defense Areas were aimed at emptying the region. "The aim of the attacks developed in the region with the partnership of the Turkish state and KDP is to close the region to all civilian people", he said.

Husseyin added: "In this way, the KDP believes that it will strengthen its dominance in the Medya Defense Zones. However, civilians are those suffering the most in the region. The KDP and Turkish state are the primary responsible for the loss of the civilian population. The UN and international forces need to step in. As Kurds living in Russia, we strongly condemn all the forces that cooperate with Turkey, especially the Turkish state, and call for an end to these attacks. ”
