It was reported that the Turkish army will built a total of 67 police stations in border provinces in 2011.
Under the agreement signed between Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister TOKÝ Department, 17 being in Hatay, 6 in Iðdýr, 11 in Hakkari and 10 Þýrnak; 67 police stations in total are planned to be built in 2011.
According to the Ministry of National Defense, the Construction Investment Program for 2011 consists of 308 new construction projects, while 108 construction projects started in 2010 are still continuing.
The 2011 budget of the Ministry of National Defense is 16 billion 975 million TL. Of this budget, 44.2 percent makes up the staff costs, 8.5 percent the State Premium Costs of Social Security Institutions, 45.7 percent the Expenditures of Purchase Goods and Services, 1.2 percent the Current Transfers and 0.4 percent the Capital Expenditures.
Within the scope of Expenditures of Purchase Goods and Services; 50 percent of 7 billion 751 million TL was planned for the legal rights of Turkish army personnel such as housing, nutrition, clothing that were determined by law and for the procurements of consumption goods and services such as fuel oil, fuel expense and transportation, while 50 percent was planned for modernization needs of Strategic Target Plan 2011 program.
Some of the development defense projects costing over 2 billion dollars in total initiated in the previous period are; "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Command Control Systems, Antitank Weapons, Development of National Mission Computer and Software, Rocket/Missile.''
