Turkey accuses Germany's DAIMLER and BASF of “aiding terrorism”

Turkey submited a “blacklist” of “supporters of terrorism” that includes prominent German companies.

According to an article in Die Zeit, Turkey submited a “blacklist” of “supporters of terrorism” that includes prominent German companies.

According to the newspaper, the blacklist the AKP government presented to the German Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) officials includes 68 individuals and companies.

The people and companies on the “blacklist” presented to the BKA are alleged to be aiding the Gülen group. There are prominent names on the list, like German automotive giant DAIMLER and chemistry giant BASF.

Die Zeit announced that the BKA asked Turkey for more concrete evidence on the companies they blacklisted, but that the Turkish authorities gave no response.

The paper also says that German officials in Berlin consider the list “absurd” and “laughable”.

There are big and small Turkish companies and individuals on the “blacklist”, while it is not specified if there are any Kurds on it.
