Traffic Centre in Sheikh Maqsoud providing efficient service

The Traffic Centre in the busy neighbourhood of Aleppo opened a year ago.

The Traffic Centre, established on 15 September 2017 in the Aleppo borough of Sheikh Maqsoud has played an important role in ensuring traffic regulation in the area. 

The council is composed of 27 members and articulated in various departments dealing with issues such as women, economy, press, archive, investigation and administration.

The Traffic Centre patrols 24 hours a day. Three separate patrol teams, each consisting of 7 members, are patrolling the main streets and the neighbourhood in general.

The Traffic Centre plays an important role when mass activities and ceremonies are organised as well as dealing with the daily traffic flow of the neighbourhood. 

The Centre has taken every precaution to prevent possible accidents in the neighbourhood. Vehicles, including motorcycles, are registered and driver candidates can attend driving and theory courses organised on a weekly basis.

Traffic Centre Manager Cîhad Xane said that they work day and night to ensure that the flow of traffic in the area is safe and controlled.

A driving training centre, managed by the Traffic Centre, will also be opened in the neighbourhood as population is increasing.
