After the statements of five people taken into custody in Van, Hakkari and Istanbul on Thursday as part of the Van-based operation were taken, three of them were remanded in custody. Sabri Ecer (55), who was detained in the village of Çığlı (Aşutê) in Çukurca, Hakkari was brought to Van, while his son Abdulcebbar Ecer, who was was detained in Istanbul, was connected to Van via Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS). Sabri Ecer and her son Abdulcebbar Ecer and a woman whose name could not be learned were sent to prison, while two other people whose names could not be learned were releasedon condition of judicial control.
