State being defeated: Military cemeteries and hospitals full to the brim

The defeat faced by the state has resulted in overcrowding in hospitals and cemeteries. New plots are designated as cemeteries and military hospitals are closed off to civilians.

As Turkish forces continue to suffer heavy losses in their genocidal attacks, the state can’t hide the fact that hundreds of soldiers and policemen are dead and there is a great number of wounded personnel.

State sources say security personnel casualties have reached 480 since June 7, 2015. The actual number is assumed to be much higher.

The state has also confessed to not having enough space due to the rising casualties. The “Police Martyrs Cemetery” in Ankara’s Cebeci Asri Cemetery has been closed after reaching its limit. A new “Police Martyrs Cemetery” was set up in Karşıyaka Cemetery afterwards. Sources say the burials began a month ago in this new “Police Martyrs Cemetery” at the Gate 3 of the cemetery and 150 bodies were buried up to this day.

GATA IS FULL

The numbers of personnel wounded in the operations also show the failure of the state in Kurdistan.

The newspaper Cumhuriyet cites Turkish military sources and says GATA’s (Gülhane Military Academy of Medicine) orthopedics and plastic surgery services are full due to the number of wounded soldiers and policemen.

Sources say the number of the wounded, mostly in Amed’s Sur and Mardin’s Nusaybin districts, have exceeded 300. Considering this number is taken from military sources, the actual number is assumed to be much higher. According to Cumhuriyet’s story, the number of wounded state personnel in districts are: 129 in Silopi, 165 in Cizre, 42 in İdil, 121 in Yüksekova and 126 in Şırnak city center.

WARD DEMAND

The military hospitals have been closed off to civilians due to the increase in casualties. Sources say the plastic surgery and orthopedics services of GATA in Ankara are full and especially orthopedics service is demanding wards from other services to treat the wounded.

PERSONNEL PSYCHOLOGY AFFECTED

Sources also say that the soldiers wounded and defeated in the face of resistance receive psychological aid. The security personnel who have lost limbs will need rehabilitation after their treatment and will be transferred to TAF Rehabilitation Center in the coming days.
