Several HDP and HDK members detained in Istanbul
Several members of the HDP and HDK were taken into custody during house raids in Istanbul city on Wednesday.
Turkish police carried out an operation against members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) and Peoples’ Democratic Congress (HDK) in Istanbul Wednesday morning ahead of the HDP’s 3rd Ordinary Congress to be held on February 11.
The detainees were taken to the anti-terror branch of police department.
Among the detainees is an employee of Özgürlükçü Demokrasi (Libertarian Democracy) newspaper, Pınar Tarlak.
