Farhad Shami urges people to "be vigilant against the deceitful tactics of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, who aim to sow discord among the diverse communities of the region."
Farhad Shami, Director of the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) Media Center stated that some media outlets have circulated fabricated scenes, falsely claiming they depict civilians tortured by the SDF forces.
“We confirm that these fabricated scenes were first published by Turkish media in November 2019. Their purpose was to justify the Turkish army’s invasion of the areas of Tal Abyad and Serê Kaniyê. These false and staged scenes by the Turkish intelligence and were used to legitimize the massacres committed by the Turkish army and its affiliated factions against our people,” said the statement by Farhad Shami.
“We urge our people to be vigilant against the deceitful tactics of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, who aim to sow discord among the diverse communities of the region,” the statement underlined.
