SDF liberates three villages east of Tabqa

Three villages have been liberated and at least 25 ISIS members have been killed during the past two days of clashes east of Tabqa.

YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have launched an extensive operation on the eastern front of the recently liberated Tabqa town to block the roads linking Raqqa to other cities of Syria.

SDF fighters have cleared the villages of Hora, Baruda and Matruyah located 20 km east of Tabqa during the past 48 hours.

At least 25 ISIS members were killed during two days of fighting, while a bomb-laden vehicle of the gangs was destroyed and one other was neutralized.

SDF fighters continue their search and sweep efforts in the liberated villages and they have seized several arms and a large quantity of ammunition belonging to the ISIS gangs.
