SDC issued a written statement titled “The Turkish state is waging war against women and children” and gave information on civilians targeted yesterday.

SDC’s statement is as follows:

“The invading Turkish state has intensified their attacks on the people of Afrin. They are bombing the defenseless civilian population with weapons of the latest technology. The only sin of these civilians is being Kurds and living in Afrin.

January 23, 2018 has witnessed the invading Turkish state carrying out the same attack as those by ISIS and Jabhat Al Nusra. There was no distinction between civilians and soldiers in these attacks. They have put forth the hate they have accumulated in an attack on the Cindires district which has a civilian population.

In the bombing of Cindires, houses have been demolished and 4 civilians, 2 of whom were children, have been martyred.

The attacks by the Turkish state show that they have the same mentality as ISIS. For that, we are calling on the global public and human rights institutions to see this murderous face of the invading fascist Turkish state and to expose the truth.

-Sozan Subhî SIlêman (11), wounded by shrapnel to the head

-Mihemed Elî Silêman (9), wounded by shrapnel to the leg

-Ehmed Sebirî Kindî (45), wounded by bullet to the back

-Mihemed Silêman Elîko (65), wounded on the head

-Hesen Hiso (52), wounded on the face

-Arîn Hesen (33), wounded on the head

-Emîna Xelîl (50), wounded on the left leg

-Mihemed Reşîd Hesen (40), wounded on the knee

-Besma Mezo (32), wounded on the left leg

-Mustefa Xelûf (14), wounded on the leg

-Asiya Xelûf (15), wounded on the face and on the leg by shrapnel

-Mihemed Ebdlkerîm Elî (22), wounded by shrapnel to the head

-Xeynep Yûsif (55), wounded by shrapnel to the head

-Aya Kedro (15), wounded on the knee and on the leg by shrapnel
