Reading event by the Internationalist Youth Collective in Lausanne

The Internationalist Youth Collective organised a reading event as part of the ‘Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a Political Solution to the Kurdish Question’ campaign.

The Internationalist Youth Collective, including Lausanne University students, organised a reading event as part of the ‘Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a Political Solution to the Kurdish Question’ campaign that was launched globally on 10 October 2023.

The first of the reading events, which will last until 10 December, was held by the Union Trade Union.


During the event, chapters on women's freedom from Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's books were read and discussed.

In addition, the struggle of the women of the world was discussed through the Kurdish Women's Freedom Struggle, and the importance of putting Abdullah Öcalan's ideas into practice was highlighted.

The event continued with a screening on the struggle of the Kurdish Women's Movement.

The reading events will continue at Pôle Sud until 10 December with the theme of ‘Social Ecology’ and the presentation of the magazine ‘Lêgerîn’ on 30 October and ‘Democratic Confederalism’ on 14 November.
