Intense clashes continue in the Rewda neighborhood to the east of Raqqa between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and ISIS gangs. 8 gang members have been killed so far and some weapons and ammunition have been seized by the fighters.

Meanwhile in the Nazlat Shahade neighborhood, the fighters crossed the mined area and broke the defense line of the gangs. SDF’s special units advanced into the neighborhood and rescued some 1000 civilians. During the rescue of the civilians, the gangs randomly fired mortar shells into the area on the fighters and civilians. The special units transported the civilians to the safe zones in the Yarmouk neighborhood. Clashes continue in Nazlat Shahade.

Fighters also continue to advance in the Hisham Bin Abdulmalik neighborhood. Weapons and ammunition have been seized from the gangs.
