PYD co-president Muslim to speak at UK Parliament
A public forum entitled 'Kurdish progress - Kurds in Syria: From denial toward self-ruled governance model' will take place in the UK Parliament on 25 March.
A public forum entitled 'Kurdish progress - Kurds in Syria: From denial toward self-ruled governance model' will take place in the UK Parliament on 25 March.
PYD (Democratic Union Party) Co-president Salih Muslim will hold a speech at a public forum entitled 'Kurdish progress - Kurds in Syria: From denial toward self-ruled governance model' which will take place in the UK Parliament on 25 March.
Besides keynote speaker Salih Muslim, Mr Michael Stephen of Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), Dr David Graeber of London School of Economics (LSE) and Dr Johanna Riha will also make speeches at the public forum. The debate will be chaired by Dr Tunc Aybak of Middlesex University and hosted by John Woodcock MP for Barrow and Furness in the Houses of Parliament.
The event is organised in partnership with the Centre for Turkey Studies (CEFTUS).
The debate will take place between 7-9PM, on Wednesday, 25th March in Committee Room 9, the House of Commons.
Muslim will be speaking about the canton model realized in the Kurdish-populated regions of Syria, Kobanê resistance, ISIS attacks and relations with Turkey.
