Protest in Sydney against Turkish attacks on Kobanê

In Sydney, the Turkish state’s attacks on Kobanê have been protested.

In the Australian city of Sydney, Kurds and members of leftist Australian organizations have followed the call of the Democratic Kurdish Society Center for a protest against the Turkish state's attacks on Kobanê and northern Syria.

Peter Boyle from the Rojava Solidarity Committee recalled that Kobanê was the "symbol of humanity" that attacked all-out attacks from ISIS and Erdoğan and revealed a rare spirit of resistance ever witnessed in world history.

Boyle called on everyone to unite around Kobanê in order for the attacks to be frustrated.

The participants carried posters of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, flags of the YPG and YPJ and chanted slogans like "Fascist Erdoğan" and "Long live the resistance of Kobanê".

The demonstration ended with the reading of a declaration detailing the massacres and attacks perpetrated by the Turkish state.
