Protest for Hasankeyf in Paris

Activists promoted a protest in Paris against the Turkish government plan to flood Hasankeyf.

Activists and environmentalists in Paris protested against the Turkish state which will begin flooding the historic site of Hasankeyf on June 10.

A group of activists protested in front of the Unesco. Activists also spoke to the institution officials about Hasankeyif and its 12,000 years of history about to be destroyed by the Ilisu Dam.

Actvists have responded at the call by the Save Hasankeyf Initiative which promoted a Global Day of Action on 7 and 8 June.
