Prisoners demanding "freedom for Abdullah Öcalan" enter 4th day of hunger strike

The alternated hunger strike started by the prisoners demanding "freedom for Abdullah Öcalan and a solution to the Kurdish problem" is on its 4th day.

Members of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) and PAJK (Party of Free Women in Kurdistan) in prisons in Turkey and Kurdistan went on an alternate hunger strike on 27 November as part of the "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a political solution to the Kurdish question" campaign.

The action, which will continue until 15 February 2024, is on its 4th day. Prisoners demand that the isolation imposed on Kurdish people’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan be lifted and he be released from the Imrali Prison.
