Erdal Kotan, who fell to 43 kilos in Elazig No. 1 High Security Prison during the hunger strike resistance demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan, was given a 13-day isolation punishment.

Journalist Idris Yılmaz, who is in the same prison, talked about Kotan's situation and the pressures in the prison in a letter.

Yılmaz also noted that letters in which the prisoners mention the problems they are experiencing in prisons, are actuallty not sent out by the administration.
