Police attack the families of Ankara massacre victims during hearing

Police forces attacked the families of victims during the hearing on the massacre of October 10, 2015 which claimed the lives of 101 people who had gathered in Turkish capital Ankara to demand peace.

Police forces attacked the families of victims during the hearing on the massacre of October 10, 2015 which claimed the lives of 101 people who had gathered in Turkish capital Ankara to demand peace.

The resumed hearing had an eventful start today at the Ankara 4th High Criminal Court.

Lawyer Mehtap Sakinci Çoşgun began to read the names of the 101 people that lost their lives during the massacre. One of the suspects of the massacre shouted "Yasin Börü" at this point and gendarmes started to evacuate the suspects from the hearing room as the families of the victims reacted.

Plastic bottles were thrown at the families from the area where ISIS suspects were helf, and police therewith attacked the families at the court room. Families and the lawyers demanded the identification of the police that used violence and the suspects that threw plastic bottles.

Tensions continued between the police and the families in the corridor of the court as the hearing ended for today.
