People continue to wait in front of Pulur Municipality

The police blockade and the people's vigil continue in the usurped Pulur Municipality. Mayor Mustafa Sarıgül said: "This government is an enemy of its own country."

The people who gathered in front of the municipality against the usurpation of Pulur Municipality continue their vigil. The people of the district came to the municipality, which was surrounded by police and blockaded. CHP Mayor Mustafa Sarıgül and his entourage were prevented from entering the municipality.

Mayor Mustafa Sarıgül said that the municipality was blockaded and added that hundreds of police officers were brought to the district. He said: "They brought more special forces and police than the number of districts. They do not know the people either."

Sarıgül said that they were taken out of the municipality without even having the possibility to take their belongings. "They do not respect any of the values of this people. The people’s wishes do not concern them. Today, they say ‘we came here to protect you’, but look at the shameful state they have brought this place to! So many people are defenseless, they set up these barricades as if they were going to come here and loot the citizens’ own homes and workplaces, then they say ‘we came to protect you’. What are you going to protect us from? You protected us from yourselves."

Sarıgül said that the government aims to first seize the municipalities and stay in power through a coup, and added: "We are faced with an understanding that is hostile to its own country and keeps it from loving the people of its own country. Each of these citizens wants a free democratic country. Our wish is for peace to come."
