Nusaybin mayor Kaya transferred to Tarsus T-Type Closed Prison
Former Mayor of Nusaybin Sara Kaya was transferred to Tarsus T-Type High Security Closed Prison.
Former mayor Sara Kaya has been in prison since 13 January 2017. She is accused of 'disrupting the unity and integrity of the state'.
After being arrested Kaya was sent to Mardin E Type Prison and on 17 February 2017 she was transferred to Van T Type Prison.
This time she was transferred to the Tarsus T-Type Closed Prison, about a thousand kilometers away from Van T-Type Closed Prison.
Kaya attended the last hearing at Mardin 4th High Criminal Court on November 6 through the Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS). The court decided to keep her in jail.
