Young people came together in Orman Mahallesi in Yüksekova, Hakkari, to celebrate Newroz. The young people burned tires to make the Newroz fire and danced around the fire all night.

Newroz was celebrated with fireworks and fires in the neighbourhoods of Semdinli and the village of Tekeli (Garê). The slogan "Bijî Serok Apo" (Long Live Leader Ocalan) was chanted during the celebrations.
