New sanctions on Qatar

The four Arab countries declared that they will be imposing new sanctions on Qatar.

Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain declared that they will be imposing new sanctions on Qatar as the 13-point list of demands they gave them was not accepted.

Qatar had refused to comply with the 13-point list given by the Gulf states.

Then the Arab countries issued a joint statement and stated that with the decision not to comply, the Qatari administration sabotaged the efforts to resolve the issue through diplomatic means. The statement said: “Qatar has accepted that they will continue with the policies that aim to destabilize the region.”

Arab countries didn’t specify when the new sanctions will go into effect.
