TKP/ML–TİKKO (Communist Party of Turkey/Marxist-Leninist - Liberation Army of the Workers and Peasants of Turkey) Rojava Commander Nubar Ozanyan fell a martyr in the fight against ISIS in Raqqa, Syria on 14 August.

Comrades of the Armenian revolutionary Orhan Bakırcıyan (Nubar Ozanyan) in the International Freedom Battalion (IFB), which is fighting alongside the YPG in Rojava and Syria, held a ceremony for him in Raqqa.

Messages in Turkish, English and French were read to commemorate Nubar Ozanyan who had been struggling for more than 40 years for the oppressed peoples of the world.
