Many ISIS members killed in fierce clashes around Tabqa

Several ISIS members were killed during fierce clashes around Tabqa town of Raqqa, and corpses of 15 ISIS members were seized.

Fighters of the YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue their operation on Tabqa town and dam at full force since March 21.

The village of Ibad which was liberated by SDF two days ago has been attacked by ISIS gangs today noon. The attack was repelled by the resistance mounted by SDF fighters during hours of clashes. The ISIS gangs that attacked with heavy weaponry ended up suffering a heavy blow as corpses of 8 ISIS members, including an 'emir', were seized alongside their arms.

On the other hand, the gangs attacked the Icêl village south of the military airbase to the southwest of the town. Clashes erupted as SDF fighters immediately responded to the attack and fighting in the area continues.

On the western front of the Tabqa town, ISIS gangs launched an attack on the positions of SDF fighters with heavy weapons. As clashes in this area also continue, SDF destroyed a bomb-laden vehicle of the gangs before it reached the target.

In the meantime, SDF fighters have found 8 ISIS corpses while conducting mop-up operations in the village of Ayad Qabîra, which was liberated yesterday afternoon. Mine clearance in and around the village continues.
