YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue their operation to strengthen to defense line of Tabqa as part of their campaign to liberate Raqqa region from ISIS.
SDF fighters entered the Mansurah town yesterday morning and amid fierce clashes ongoing since yesterday, they have taken the town largely under their control.
Several ISIS members have been killed in the town but the exact number is not clear yet.
On the other hand, SDF fighters also captured 3 damaged tanks, 2 BMB type panzera and 2 an ammunition warehouse of the gangs.
Zinarîn Minbic commanding the SDF forces in Mansura stated that 90 percent of the town has been fully cleared of the gangs, and that fighters are advancing to liberate the remaining two neighborhoods.
The town of Mansurah with 50 thousand population is located 20 km east of Tabqa.
