Mansurah town cleared of ISIS

Syrian Democratic Forces have fully cleared the town of Mansurah following two days of clashes with ISIS gangs.

YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) continue their operation to strengthen to defense line of Tabqa as part of their campaign to liberate Raqqa region from ISIS.

SDF fighters entered the Mansurah town 20 km east of Tabqa yesterday morning and fully cleared the town of ISIS gangs following two days of fierce clashes. 30 ISIS members were killed during the fighting and bodies of 14 remained in SDF possession.

On the other hand, SDF fighters destroyed a bomb-laden vehicle of the gangs and seized 5 tanks, 4 BMB type panzers, and large quantities of ammunition including hundreds of Kalashnikov rifles, B-7 type rocket launcher and thousands of bullets.

SDF continues the search and minesweeping efforts in the town.

With the liberation of the Mansurah town with 50 thousand population, SDF has cut another strategic route of the ISIS gangs.
