Long march kicks off in Marseille: "Freedom for Öcalan, status for Kurdistan"

A long march condemning the international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan has started in Marseille.

A three-day long march to protest the 15 February 1999 international conspiracy against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan started in Marseille, France on Thursday.

A statement in French was made in front of the Da Martigues Municipality before the march kicked off with the participation of more than 150 Kurdish and pro-Kurdish activists from Bordeaux, Toulouse, Montpellier and Draguignan.

During the march, slogans were chanted, praising the Kurdish leader and protesting Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

The march will continue from Martigues to Marignane on the first day. Tomorrow it will end at St. Antione at the entrance to Marseille from Marignane. The last day the activists will meet at the Jouliette Square in Marseille and conclude their action with a rally at Vieux Port Square.
