The three-day Long March in the south of France to protest against the International Conspiracy continues with enthusiasm on its second day.
A three-day Long March was launched in southern France on Thursday as part of the “Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, a Political Solution to the Kurdish Question” campaign.
The march is organized every year to condemn the international conspiracy that resulted in the capture of the Kurdish leader in Kenya and his handover to Turkey on 15 February 1999.
On the first day of the demonstration, which kicked off in front of Martigues Town Hall, 123 people took part in the march, which also attracted strong participation from Draguignan, Montpellier, Avignon and Marignane.
The activists are making press statements in Kurdish, French and Turkish throughout the march, expressing their demands for the physical freedom of Abdullah Öcalan and a democratic solution to the Kurdish question.
They also distribute leaflets demanding “Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, Status for Kurdistan” and inform the French public opinion.
On the second day, the march started in the morning in front of the Marignane City Hall with the participation of 196 people.
The activists, who continue their action with great enthusiasm and determination, are set to reach La Viste district of Marseille by the end of the day.
On the third and last day of the march, a central march will be staged in Marseille city center with the participation of thousands of people.
