Lebanese-Kurdish dialogue conference closes with 11-item final declaration

The 11-item final declaration of the Lebanese-Kurdish dialogue conference was announced.

The final declaration of the Lebanese-Kurdish dialogue conference titled "Towards a Common Life and Equal Citizenship" of the Lebanese, Armenian, Assyrian and Kurdish peoples, held in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, to strengthen Kurdish-Arab relations, has been announced.

The final declaration of the Lebanese-Kurdish dialogue conference was read by the President of the Newroz Cultural Association, Cemal Hesen.

The outcome of the conference is as follows:

“The conference was held by peoples who witnessed historical moments in a historical period. Our conference was held under the shadow of the crises and contradictions in the region. The issues that Lebanon and the region are suffering from were discussed at this conference.

11 items came to the fore at the conference. These items are as follows:

1.The conference promises to develop all cultures, to promote all identities.

2.The conference is confident that the problems in Lebanon and the Middle East can be resolved through dialogue. Violence and weapons cannot solve problems. For this reason, it attaches great importance to the "Democratic Nation and Equal Citizenship" project.

3.The purpose of the conference is to protect the common cultural, political and social values ​​of the peoples.

4.The conference emphasized the need to strengthen the historically existing cultural dialogue between peoples, identities, cultures, thoughts and beliefs, primarily in Lebanon. An intellectual commission was also proposed to deal with this issue.

5.This conference exposes the politics of states that create hostility between all peoples and identities by various means such as nationalism, racism and religion.

6.The Conference reiterates its commitment to women's liberation and the promotion of equality in all fields. It also reaffirms to be against all forms of violence against women.

7.The conference considers it necessary to reject the expansionist policy of the Turkish state in the region. It also rejects the use of religion as a tool to serve its own interests in the context of "semi-Ottomanism".

8.The conference promises to reject absolute centrist politics.

9.The Conference believes that the adoption of democracy and the model of democratic self-government is a guarantee of freedom and at the same time one of the best all-round defense solutions.

10.According to the conference, one of the requirements of a modern citizen state is equal relations between Arab peoples, Kurds and all other peoples and components. There should be no separation or differences between them.

11.The conference recognizes transparent dialogue with the approved mechanism in case of any problems or conflicts.
