La France Insoumise: France should end complacency towards Turkey

La France Insoumise calls on French authorities to lift the defense secrecy on the Paris killings.

The Parliamentary Group of the La France Insoumise Movement issued a statement about the killings of Sakine Cansiz, Fidan Dogan, and Leyla Saylemez, on 9 January 2013.

La France Insoumise Movement issued a statement reminding that “Eight years have passed since the execution of Sakine Cansiz, Fidan Dogan and Leyla Saylemez and our authorities in turn are reluctant to put pressure on Turkey to collaborate with our justice, while the Turkish press has "established" the involvement of the Turkish secret services (MIT).”

The statement added: “It is time for our country to lift defense secrecy in the context of this triple assassination. It is time for our country to end this complacency with a murderous state. Neither can our country become the ‘armed arm’ of a dictatorial regime by criminalizing in our own territory the struggle of the Kurds, as was the case on Tuesday 23 March, with the arrest of many Kurdish militants and searches in the premises of Kurdish associations, as in Marseille.”

The statement continued: “We reiterate our full support for the struggle of the Kurdish people for their survival and we call on all those, civil society organizations, political parties to react to this injustice to which the Kurds are subjected in France.”

The statement is signed by the following:
