Kurds of Armenia: “Erdoğan-Bahçeli can be stopped with the HDP”

Kurds in Armenia called on all Kurds to support the HDP for June 24.

Kurds living in Armenia issued a statement for the June 24 elections in Turkey.

The Kurdistan Committee made the statement in the name of Armenia’s Kurds. MP in the Armenian Parliament Knyaze Hamid spoke in the name of the committee in the press statement and said Kurds in Northern Kurdistan and Turkey should go to the ballots and support the HDP that represents their will, stressing that they harshly condemn the Erdoğan-Bahçeli fascist alliance and that the elections are a good option to end it.

“The Kurdish people must show everyone once again that they can’t be bought, and can’t be repressed throguh violence and threats,” said Hamid and added that the elections will be an important step for the freedom of Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan as well.

Kurdistan Committee Chairperson Jenya Qadir stressed that they are monitoring the developments in four parts of Kurdistan closely.

Solidarity with Shengal Committee Representative Silo Dirboyan spoke in the press conference and said the peoples of Kurdistan should, regardless of faith or ethnicity, should participate in the elections to actively support the HDP.

Şex Tahir said Northern Kurdistan is their homeland, and that the developments there directly affect the Kurds in Armenia. Tahir also called for support for the HDP.
