BRUSSELS

A protest was held in front of the Turkish Consulate in Brussels at 14.00. Some 200 protesters opened a banner that read “Hands off our will”.

Belgium Democratic Kurdish Social Center co-chair Mustafa Kumral spoke in the demonstration and said all democratic groups in Europe will support the resistance against tyranny in Kurdistan.

The crowd chanted “We are all HDP”, “Fascist Erdoğan”, “Murderer Erdoğan” and “Kurdistan will bury fascism” and the demonstration ended.

DEN HAAG

More than 200 protesters gathered in front of the Turkish Embassy in Den Haag. The crowd chanted “Murderer Erdoğan” and “Kurdistan will bury fascism” and representatives from Dutch organisation Rode Morgen attended the demonstration.

A press release was read out loud in Dutch and Turkish. A black wreath was placed in front of the embassy.

HELSINKI

Kurds and friends of the Kurdish people gathered in a march from the White Church to the Turkish Consulate in Helsinki, chanting “Hands off our deputies”. The protesters chanted “HDP is our will, hands off our will” and used other slogans to condemn the AKP government and Turkey.

BERLIN

A large demonstration was held in front of the Turkish Embassy with the slogan “Hands off my voice in the parliament, hands off my will”. The demonstration called by HDK-A Berlin initiative saw great interest.

Speeches made in the name of HDK Europe’s Berlin initiative stressed that all marginalised groups that found representation with the HDP were to be banished from the parliament in the proposed amendment to the constitution.

The need to stop the imprisonment of dozens of MPs who represent millions of voters in the Parliament, and the transformation of the Parliament into a dysfunctional body under the Palace was stressed in the speeches.

One of the speakers said: “Let us not sit back and watch while the way to parliamentary solution to the Kurdish issue is blocked and the foundation for peace is demolished. Let us stop the blatant Palace coup disguised as ‘fight against terror’. We demand an immediate end to political pressure on the DBP municipalities and the immediate release and reinstatement of the arrested mayors. We want plurality, diversity, democracy and peace - not a one-man dictate, war, death and hate.
