Kurdish youth in Europe to hold 1st National Conference tomorrow

The 1st National Conference of Kurdish Youth in Europe is due to be held in Dortmund, Germany tomorrow on June 24.

Kurdish young men and women living in Europe will hold tomorrow the first ever National Conference of Kurdish Youth bearing the motto "Kurdish youths will break the line of treason by ensuring national unity to free Kurdistan". The conference will take place at the Kurdish Democratic Society Center in Germany's city of Dortmund.

Hundreds of delegations are expected to attend the conference from institutions and organisations representing all parts and elements of whole Kurdistan; Ciwanên Azad and Jinên Ciwanên Azad (Free Youth), Ciwanên PYD’ê (PYD Youth), Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), Kurdistan Islam Party (PÎK), Change Party (Gorran), PUK Youth, Êzidî Youths (HCÊ), Mesopotamia Faith Institutions Youths (FEDA) and Komele party.

The conference is split into a programme of three sessions devised by the organisators to evoke deep discussions about various issues which strive to find solutions.

The conference programme is as follows:

Opening and Messages of Institutions (10:00- 12:00)

First Session: 12.00-13.00

- Situation of Kurdish youths in Europe

- Situation of Kurdish students in the European system

- Social problems and assimilation of culture and art faced by youths

- Capitalist Modernity's impact on youths and women in particular

Second Session: 14.00-15.00

The role and importance of religion and beliefs for Kurdistan's unity

- Political and physical attacks on the Alevi community

- Massacres faced by the Êzidî community and Shengal's status

- Social realities: Democratic Islam and ISIS attacks

- Ignored social realities: The Yaresan community

- Discussions on how religions and beliefs are abused by occupying forces for personal profits and its implications on Kurdistan's unity

Third Session: 15.30-17.00

- The line of treason and importance of Kurdistan's unity

- Attacks and massacres throughout the 20th century, treaties which divided Kurdistan, and the line of treason

-Outcomes of the Rojava Revolution and importance of relations established with the Middle East peoples and reflections abroad

- The role of Kurdistan National Conference for the unity of Kurdistan

- Closing speech and declaration of the decisions made
