The Democratic Kurdish Council of France (CDK-F) and the Kurdish Women's Movement in France (TJK-F) condemned the detention of 12 Kurdish patriots in Paris, Marseille and Draguignan on Tuesday.

In a written statement the TJK-F said, “The French Police conducted simultaneous raids on Kurds in Paris (Drancy), Marseille and Draguignan and detained at least 12 patriots. During these raids, the doors of the Democratic Kurdish Community Center and houses were broken, and detentions were carried out by fascist methods.”

The statement continued, “We condemn France's crackdown on the Kurds. The methods Erdogan uses against the Kurds were put into effect by the French government this time as the imperial powers have attempted to use the Kurds for their own interests as they did in the past. It seems that France, which pretends to be a Kurdish-friendly country, remains loyal to Erdogan for its own interests, as do other countries. But the whole world should know well that the Kurds are righteous and will never give up their struggle.”

TJK-F added; “These pressures cannot make us step back from our struggle and they only make us stronger. All our people, especially women, must be one, united and show their reaction to these unfair and fascistic oppressions and protect their institutions.”

CDK-F: THERE IS A DEEP STATE IN FRANCE

The CDK-F also released a statement and said, "The dark forces within the French state have once again negotiated with Erdogan, their valuable ally, to the detriment of the Kurds in France."

CDK-F said they "noted" that the raids took place after the video conference between Erdogan and Emmanuel Macron on March 2. This embarrassing wave of detentions coincides with the day Macron's interview on relations with Erdogan will be aired on the TV 5 program "C dans l'air".

Underlining that the detentions were carried out at a time when attacks against the Kurds by the Turkish state are escalating, CDK-F added, “As the President of France has stated many times, there is a deep state in France. These injustices and intrigues entirely originate from this lobby."

SIMILAR TO DREYFUS AFFAIR

The arrests, searches, criminalization and the intimidation attempts against the Kurds in France today are no different from the treatment Alfred Dreyfus experienced in the past, said CDK-F.

“We have only one word to tell you: we will not give up our legitimate struggle, and history will remember this disgusting injustice as it remembers the Dreyfus affair.

For this reason, we call on the President once again to develop a right Kurdish policy in France, where 300 thousand Kurds live.

We call on non-governmental organizations and political parties to react to this injustice against the Kurds in France."
