KON-MED: Everyone should urgently take to the streets

The Confederation of Kurdistan Communities in Germany (KON-MED) called on everyone to take to the streets to protest the fascist assault against the HDP and added that the Turkish state is responsible for the assault.

The Confederation for Kurdistan Communities in Germany (KON-MED) released a statement on the fascist assault against the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Izmır Provincial Organisation Office which tragically ended with the killing of Deniz Poyraz.

KON-MED’s statement said the following: “The Turkish state governed by the AKP-MHP fascist and mafia alliance aims at covering its internal crises with massacres. Once again Erdogan’s gangs are targeting the HDP.”
KON-MED reminded that “earlier this morning, the HDP Izmır Provincial Organisation office which is under police supervision all day long, was assaulted by the gangs of Erdogan and [Interior Minister] Soylu. The assailant entered the party office and killed our comrade Deniz Poyraz, a member of the HDP.

This killing exposed the Turkish state’s racist and anti-Kurdish attitude. The German government which never hesitates to support the Turkish state cannot any longer ignore these massacres. The German authorities must immediately take action against these assaults.”
KON-MED continued: “We fiercely condemn this assault carried out by the AKP-MHP-Mafia. We, as KON-MED, call upon all councils affiliated to our confederations, our people and all institutions demanding democracy to take to the streets urgently and stand by the HDP.”
