KON-MED calls for participation in Kassel march

KON-MED called for strong participation in a march to be held in Kassel for the freedom of the Kurdish People's Leader.

The largest umbrella organization of the Kurdish Diaspora in Germany, KON-MED called for strong participation in the march to be staged in the city of Kassel on 19 December under the motto "Freedom for Öcalan".

In a written statement, KON-MED said, "The Kurds, under the leadership of the Kurdistan freedom movement, take advantage of the historical opportunities that have emerged from this process of upheaval in the Middle East to develop revolutionary campaigns and to realize the Kurdistan Freedom Revolution as well as a Democratic Middle East Revolution. The Kurdish people are in a position to lead a Democratic Middle East Revolution and to realize the Kurdistan Freedom Revolution by making good use of these conditions and opportunities under the leadership of the Kurdistan freedom movement and the Leadership."

'FREEDOM FOR ÖCALAN AND KURDISTAN!'

The statement further included the following:

The campaign for "Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan, Kurdistan", "End Isolation, Fascism, Occupation, Time for Freedom" is continuing. The success of this campaign will lead to a victory of the Kurdish people and the peoples of the Middle East on the basis of freedom and democracy. Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan is also the one who invented the idea of ​​a democratic confederalism that came to be realized in Rojava. Furthermore, liberation of Kurdish People's Leader Öcalan and other political prisoners will have a positive effect against the conflicts and tensions in the Middle East led by the Turkish state.

We invite all the youth and women from Kurdistan in Germany, members of councils affiliated to the Federations, members of our faith institutions, the people of Kurdistan, friendly revolutionaries, socialists and all our alliances to join the march which is scheduled to start on Saturday, 19 December 2020, at 14:30 in Kassel Wilhelmshöhe Bahnhof."
