KOM-MED: Boycott Turkish products and tourism

KON-MED called on everyone to "boycott Turkish products and tourism."

In a written statement KON-MED (Confederation of Kurdistan Communities in Germany) called to boycott Turkish state, which continues its invasion attacks. "The genocide attacks on the Kurdish people - said the statement - are continuing."

The statement added: "Turkey uses all kinds of weapons including chemical weapons to destroy the Kurdish people. The boycott by South Kurdistan of Turkish products against the invasion is growing. Boycotting Turkish products is important because it cuts part of the income going toward war. Boycotting tourism in Turkey is important not only in Kurdistan but in Europe also."

The statement recalled that "the Turkey government spends a big a part of its economic revenues in this genocidal war. The main economic resources of this war are Turkish goods and tourism purchased and sold abroad, especially in Germany. We call on the Kurds living in Europe and especially in Germany, to stop buying Turkish goods and boycott tourism."

KON-MED added: "We need to expand the boycott campaign, creating awareness among people, not just Kurds, as to why it is right to boycott Turkish products."

Particular attention should be given to products such as state-owned companies such as ÇAY-KUR or BEKO, which belongs to the Koç Group, the largest armored vehicle supplier of the Turkish army.
